    When people are looking for a job, they tend to focus only on the interview part, 0:02
    without realizing, as you saw, that there's more steps involved. 0:06
    Take time to search for jobs that match your skill set and goals, perfect each application, 0:09
    prepare for the interview, and then you should be set. 0:16
    But before I conclude this topic, I do want to bring up a few lingering thoughts. 0:19
    First up is attire. People often wonder what to wear for interviews. 0:24
    In the tech industry, there is no straight answer for this. 0:29
    But it's easy to figure out. Gauge the company's culture. 0:32
    Figure out how they dress and do the same. There's lot of ways you can do this. 0:36
    Company blogs and social media streams. 0:40
    For tech jobs outside the industry, the safe route is to go business casual. 0:42
    But always do your research. 0:47
    The last thing you want to do is show up in a suit, 0:50
    when everyone else is in a t-shirt and jeans. People always ask when they should follow up and how. 0:52
    If I don't hear back, my personal method is to follow up with an email 2 weeks after. 0:58
    If I still don't hear back, 1:03
    I wait another week before calling or getting in touch with them in a more direct way than email. 1:05
    Hopefully, that should be a good primer on how to interview in the tech industry. 1:11
