In this video, we'll customize the project using React-Bootstrap, a framework for integrating Bootstrap with React apps.
UPDATE: In the latest version of React Bootstrap the Grid
component was renamed to Container
and the Jumbotron
has been discontinued. Instead of these components you can use the following replacements
Change the import in your App.js
file to be:
import { Container, Carousel } from 'react-bootstrap';
Then use the Container
component instead of Grid
, and Carousel
instead of Jumbotron
:
<Carousel>
<Container>
<h1>Search App</h1>
<p>This is a simple search app</p>
</Container>
</Carousel>
SearchForm.js
<Form inline>
<FormGroup controlId="formInlineEmail">
<FormControl type="search" placeholder="enter something..." />
</FormGroup>
{' '}
<Button type="submit">
search
</Button>
</Form>
In the Results
component, you will need to import Container
instead of Grid
:
import {
Container,
ListGroup,
ListGroupItem
} from 'react-bootstrap';
<Container>
<h2>Results List</h2>
<ListGroup>
<ListGroupItem href="#" active>Link 1</ListGroupItem>
<ListGroupItem href="#">Link 2</ListGroupItem>
<ListGroupItem href="#" disabled>Link 3</ListGroupItem>
</ListGroup>
</Container>
