If you want to join one existing array with another, they do essentially the same thing and it's simply your choice. But the spread operator has many other uses, as it can create a new array from individual items, it works not only with arrays but with objects, plus it can be used for destructuring assignments. For more details, see this MDN page on Spread Syntax.
