WordPress Theme Functions, did I miss something?

Hello,

I am watching "Displaying Custom Posts and Fields in a Template" and it looks like the teacher has already gone and installed the custom field plug in and added all the custom fields already.

I started the "How to Build a WordPress Theme" from the start and I'm not sure if I have missed something or not?

Is this explained further on down the track?

Have you looked on the WordPress Codex site to see if the functions the teacher references exist?

http://codex.wordpress.org/

If they don't then you should be able to Google them and find them very easily for a specific plugin.
