I have two requests. The first is a request for SUGGESTED READING; and the second request is a “help” request.
1.) I’m looking for my next WordPress or coding BOOK TO READ; or suggestions on a series of books to read. So if you have any suggestions, I am listening. I just finished reading my first general WordPress book without any coding info. But I would like to find a book that starts me on a coding path in addition to the WordPress classes at Team TreeHouse. Thanks. I am a new student of Team Treehouse, and I am focusing on WordPress and all things marked “beginner” in the Treehouse library. Treehouse is the best educational tool I have ever experienced for learning technology for people like me without a formal technical or coding background. But I would like to supplement my TreeHouse learning with some additional reading.
2.) Next I’m asking for HELP and suggestions about AFFILIATE MARKETING. I would like to meet anyone who is having success with affiliate marketing. I’m trying to develop affiliate marketing websites focused on using Amazon and other companies as affiliate partners. I have one website near completion. I do not want to use ANY BLACK HAT techniques – buying “back links” or buying some questionable SEO software and whatever else some of the self-proclaimed gurus are promoting. I just want to create quality websites that focus on providing information and videos on a topic and use affiliate links to promote specific products. I’m a newbie and willing to connect with other newbies in this area or experienced folks as well. And if you believe that this AFFILIATE MARKETING strategy does NOT work, I AM willing to listen. I have invested 60 days in learning affiliate marketing with limited success, but I am making some progress.
I am available in person if someone wants to create a serious group pursuing affiliate marketing. I maintain regular office hours at the Panera Bread on Narcoossee Road in Lake Nona, Florida. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

22,986 PointsIt's not the answer you want to hear, but I found the best way to learn Wordpress was practically and learning solutions and fixes on the go. It is important that you understand the capabilities of Wordpress, and what you can achieve - and it sounds like you're well on your way with this - but you will find the learning curve is much greater through practical application of learned skills. So now you have a good idea of what's possible, why not get stuck in ;)
If it was me, I would look for or think of a new project rather than a new book, or maybe consider running with both options!
