5th Grade Summer Reading Blog Help

Hey, my mother-in-law is a 5th grade teacher. She wants to create a blog/website for her upcoming class to use to interact together over the summer to talk about their summer reading. We have brainstormed several options to create this.

What would the easiest way implement these features:

  1. Privacy is the main concern, she doesn't want anybody that isn't in the class to be able to access this.

  2. She wants the students to be able interact with each other and talk about the summer reading via the website.

Hi!

You can use plugins like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/password-protect-wordpress/

As for the best way to utilize the blog in the classroom, I'd look into some teaching sites that gives tips on using WordPress in the classroom or other digital tools that get the best results.
