AJAX via jQuery or Fetch

If I am already using jQuery on my website, would there be a performance difference if I replace my jQuery ajax method with fetch. I use jQuery in my website for the navigation bar, animations, and other various features

Since fetch is integral to the JavaScript engine, it's probably a bit more efficient than the external jQuery library.

But also since much of these operations involve waiting on an external resource to respond, there might not be any visible difference in the responsiveness of your application.
