# EXAMPLE
# random_item("Treehouse")
# The randomly selected number is 4.
# The return value would be "h"
import random
def random_item(list):

Treehouse Moderator 68,454 PointsYou are generating the random number correctly. Now use the random number to select an item from the list: list[rand_num]
This can be combined into the return statement or used in two separate statements.
