I'm sorry this is not a question, but I just wanted to say that this course was amazing! As always, Andrew nailed it!

14,782 Points+1 Andrew is great at explaining otherwise hard-to-grasp concepts!

17,774 PointsI agree. This was not an easy course but he's a great instructor and I got a TON out of it.

14,940 PointsIt was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Wasn't sure I'd make it through but I got everything working now! Quite a course, that's for sure. This is one of those that has the potential of making or breaking a potential web developer.

22,035 Pointsreally?? i found the EXACT opposite.................have breezed through most of the js full stack with relatively few problems, but this express basics course i found i had issues to resolve with almost every single video, found it to be extremely frustrating tbh.

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Graduate 19,359 PointsI'm amazed that this course has not been updated. It has been years since this course was made, and I've not seen this many question threads bringing up issues and complaints with a course in my time at treehouse. Submitting suggestions to support is not the job of students that pay for access to these courses. This really needs to be updated, inaccuracies and outdated information need to be changed, all the closed captions are shockingly inaccurate in Chalkley's lessons to the point of being misleading and infuriating for students trying to learn concepts that are foreign to them, amongst many other issues that other students have pointed out in the questions section of many videos. If this course ever gets reworked, I'd be the first to applaud treehouse for addressing these issues, but seeing as though it has been out for years, and even the teacher's notes rarely seem to be updated, it seems unlikely that this will happen.

Courses Plus Student 1,715 PointsI totally agree. This is by far one of the best courses I've taken on Treehouse.

Treehouse Guest TeacherThanks Andres Osorio!

22,035 Pointsyeah i feel a bit bad for moaning now, an example is that there is a point along the course where in one of get methods he DOESN'T put a return statement in and it causes all kinds or errors to occur in the console, the app still works but he never mentions the error or shows any output of the console, it concerned me that i was getting errors yet the tutor did not mention any errors, it bugged me so bad i ended up deleting my days work and starting the entire process again from the top, i got to the same point in the tutorial making CERTAIN that i paid total attention throughout the entire video, and i got the same errors again, i felt like i was going insane because there as no mention of any problems in the lesson, so spent the rest of the day trying to figure out what was causing the errors, eventually after contacting a good friend through slack he point ed out that perhaps a return statement would resolve the issue, which it did...........so i carry on with the video tutorial, several videos later perhaps 6 videos and several quiz's later he eventually mentions the error and tells you how to resolve it. it really irritated me because i hadn't made any mistakes, i didn't do anything wrong yet i spent the entire day really stressed and started telling myself that maybe i'm just not cut out for this if i cant even follow a simple code along lesson, wouldn't it have been better to perhaps address the issue of the errors as they occur??so that people don't drive themselves mad thinking that they have made a mistake somewhere, and this as not the only time something like this occurs during the express basics lesson, on several occasions I've found myself extremely stressed because it seems like i'm making mistakes, when in actuality i'm being given deprecated information, or there is just little to no acknowledgement that some this information may be outdated etc.

35,526 Pointsumm... Did I miss something, Steven Parker? Is he not going to be teaching here anymore?

231,248 PointsI understand that Andrew moved on to pursue other opportunities last year. I believe he's with a large and popular service provider so it's likely most of us will see the results of his efforts though we may not know he was behind it.

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Graduate 28,393 PointsI'm very late to the party, but bravo Treehouse, Andrew Chalkley, and Joel Kraft for this incredible course. It was a dense challenging course for sure, but invaluable to see the Express development process broken down step by step and so thoroughly explained. I went through each lecture more slowly than any other course so far and will likely go through it a couple more times.
