andriod studio what is it

ive been working on a game and my friend said i should translate it to andriod studio but my big question is wht is andriod studio is it just a ide or something else ?

Hi Momo, Yes, that's exactly what it is, an IDE for making android apps. You don't have to make them there (I don't think), but it might have features that make it easier to put your app on the Google Play store.

thanks for the reply but one last question can i sitll put them on the play store without it or should i put it on my pc because i dont think my raspberry pi

As far as I know, you can. I'm not that far with Android Studio myself. I'm trying to get the emulator working as part of a Treehouse course to build an app. It seems you have to create a developer account in the Google Play Console, which costs $25 or so. Do some Googling and you'll find out a ton more about it. That's what I just did to be able to make an answer. I hope it is reasonably correct.
