API clarification

Is this a RESTful api or a fetch api? Also where do you use an API key if that is all the API gives you? Do you need back end or server side code for this?

Steven Parker you have helped me before a few times if you are online would you mind helping me out again :)

:bookmark: Hi, I got alerted by your tag.

This video doesn't use "fetch", instead it uses the older but still valid "XMLHttpRequest" mechanism. After taking the "fetch" course, you might want to try revising this code to use it as an exercise. If you do, post your results here!

And the API contacted (Open Notify) simply returns data in a JSON package, it doesn't fully implement REST (Representational State Transfer) protocols.

The project code here runs entirely in the browser.
