Are there any courses people can recommend for what I need??

I want to learn to build affiliate sites using wordpress etc but I cant really find any courses that help me specifically for this. Just in the way of formatting the home page to link to catergories etc. It all seems to be about general things to when I do any of the courses, I already know all of the stuff, most of which I have learned from youtube. I thought treehouse would offer me more or is there something im just not doing right?

You're right, you're not going to find course on super specific topics. It wouldn't be feasible. Treehouse in entirely about building a foundation. You'll learn all of the pure fundamentals and industry best practices, you'll also learn how and where to look for answers when (not if) a problem arises. In the case of WP, you'll learn through the lessons how to search the WP Codex. You might also learn to use Can I Use, or the W3 Specs.

I have no way to judge your current level. There are some great tutorials and lessons on Youtube, and I use that as another source regularly. But there is a lot of crap on Youtube too. Here, you have less than 300 points, which does tell me you haven't done a whole lot yet here. Give it more time, I think you are missing some information. Go through more lessons, be active on he forums, and you should easily be able to build whatever site you want with Wordpress once you go through all of the lessons. You'll likely be amazing at your progress 6 months from now if you stick with it here. Good luck friend!

Thanks for your input Kevin, I have used Treehouse before as a member for a few months so have worked through other modules but had to start again obv as i just resigned up. I agree there is a lot of crap on youtube but I know how to put a site together easy enough and all the plugins to use, don't feel as though anything ive watched is teaching me anything new. I tried Lynda aswell and found the same thing. Maybe it's not the right thing for what I need. Thanks again for your input though :) Regards..

I'd like to be a ble to format my pages and learn how to build afilliate sites etc, found another site/course which seems a lot more of what I need tbh but thanks very much for your help and all the best in your future endeavours.. :) free trial ends tomorrow and won't be signing up at this time, maybe again in the future..
