Back-round images. Profile images.

How big is 1mb in size and width for background and 400kb for profile images.

It depends on the quality of the image. If it has been taken by dslr, maybe with photoshop you can reduce it under 500kb without losing so much quality. So megabyte has nothing to do with the size. Megapixels does.
