Blog Archives - How to show only those months with posts.

Hi.

I am working on a project right now and in the process of setting up the blog.

I had created 3 posts in July and added to my blog page. They were test posts. Today I deleted those posts and created my first official post. So, now in my blog page under the archives section I have 2 months showing.

September 2014 July 2014.

When I click on July 2014, I’m redirected to a 404 error page. How do I delete the July 2014 link (since there are no posts in that month) and only show the September 2014 under archives.

Thank you for your time. Madhu

This sounds like a caching issue. Do you have any cache plugins activated? I suppose it could also be your browser that is caching the links in the archives widget area for the home page (I am assuming it's that page) as well.

No, I haven't installed any cache plugins. The only plugins that are activated are: Akismet, Contact Form 7 and Wordpress SEO.

If it is in fact the browser that's causing this problem, can you tell me how I can resolve this? I'm using chrome and developing the website locally.

Thank you again. Madhu
