Calculator in Wordpress

Hello friends, this is my first question.

I am currently working on a project for a friend. As little experience as i have, i was able to install Wordpress on a server, install a theme, make changes to some HTML and CSS aspects, including going into the PHP files etc.

But now he wants me to add a calculator of the sort: Insert what you normally pay for x: If you pay $$ for x, given the price of y and z and so on, with our product you would be saving: ___

Something very similar to this: http://www.lovatogas.com/php/eng/how_much_can_i_save/

Anybody can guide towards a tutorial or any documentation to read on how to make that and put it up within a wordpress page?

Thanks y'all!

Welcome to the forum, Edgar!

While I have never used it, this plugin might solve your problem. You could also go into the theme and create a small application with JavaScript to produce these results, but the only safe way to do this would be by either creating a custom plugin or a child theme. It is not recommended to make changes in a WordPress theme you have not built yourself because if you update it, your changes are lost.

I hope the plugin is helpful!

Whoa, that was quick and useful!

I'm already browsing thru the readme.txt Thanks a lot man, i'll let you know how it works out!
