Can I customize the xampp path into sites folder like Zac showed for mampp?

I watched all the local development videos for wordpress and wanted to know if there was a way to customize the file path so i can save my test files into sites instead of htdocs. This was shown for mampp, but not xampp and I can't find where to do it on xampp.

Try the answer here and let me know how it goes. I have thought about the same thing, but just put the projects in the htdocs folder and changed the permissions to 777 for everything in htdocs.
