Can you force your users to update your plugins that they are using?

I just want to know if it is possible to force updates on custom WordPress plugins or do all updates need to be initiated by the user?

Just curious :)

Hello Liam,

I don't believe it can be forced from the developer, however, there are plugins that a user can install to force other plugins to be updated automatically.

I hope this helps.

Perfect. That is what I needed confirmed. The site at work had a customised plugin 'auto-update' that broke the site. I have now added this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/aryo-activity-log/ to keep an eye on the admin enabled users and who is doing what.

Thank again for the confirmation, man :)
