Can you please raise a ValueError if the product_idea is less than 3 characters long? product_idea is a string. Thanks i

im struggling i even wanted to place an else statement please help im stuck

suggestinator.py 
def suggest(product_idea):
    if product_idea <= 3:
        raise ValueError("needs more characters")
    return product_idea + "inator"

You're close, but there's 2 issues:

  • you need to test the length of the string, not the string itself
  • the instructions say to test for "less than" but the <= operator means "less than or equal"
