the first task is asking you to store your favorite flavor inside the $flavor variable, so you need to do this once.
The second task is asking you to replace the static text of the ice cream flavor with the value inside your $flavor variable.
The third task is asking you to add a conditional around that final echo command that checks if the flavor variable has a value of "cookie dough."
so your final code would look like this:
<?php
$flavor = 'cream'; // first task, cream can be replaced with anything you want!
echo "<p>Your favorite flavor of ice cream is ";
echo $flavor; // second task
echo ".</p>";
if ($flavor == 'cookie dough') { //third task
echo "<p>Hal's favorite flavor is cookie dough, also!</p>";
}
?>
