591 PointsCan't seem to get the code right on challenge task 1-- putting the nav and unordered list elements in..
I have it on the line right after the link in the header: <nav> <ul></ul> </nav>
What am I doing wrong?
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Nick Pettit</title>
</head>
<body>
<header>
<a href="index.html">
<nav>
<ul></ul>
</nav>
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
<h2>Designer</h2>
</a>
</header>
<section></section>
<footer>
<p>© 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
</footer>
</body>
</html>

21,457 PointsYou have it included inside the actual link, between the anchor tags. Technically the after the link is after the /a tag. Like this:
<body>
<header>
<a href="index.html">
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
<h2>Designer</h2>
</a>
<nav>
<ul></ul>
</nav>
</header>
<section></section>
<footer>
<p>© 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
</footer>
</body>
In html, the format for a link is :
<a href="target URL"> link element </a>
Hope this helps!

8,363 PointsHey Melissa -
At the moment, your nav element is inside the <a> tag in the header - I'd move it outside this!
