As long as the link exists to the CSS document in the head of the intended html doc, you can simply write your code targeting the h1 element as follows:

h1 {
   color: purple;
}

Hope this helps.

Take care and Happy Coding!

Hi A R,

I took this course a while ago so not sure if the challenge wants you to add an inline style or in the styles.css file. Either one will work. Using the styles.css file would be easier and all you need to do is create a rule that targets the h1 element and change the text color with the color property.

Thanks and Happy Coding! ?

Thanks , don't know how to do this from a blank page and the course did not elaborate on that.

perfect! Thanks
