Checkbox is not appearing

I think I've added in the code correctly, and I've checked it repeatedly, but for some reason the checkbox does not appear, just the label.

const form = document.getElementById("registrar");
const input = form.querySelector("input");
const listItem = invitedList.querySelector("li");

form.addEventListener("submit",(e)=>{
  e.preventDefault();
  const text = input.value;
  input.value = "";
  const ul = document.getElementById("invitedList");
  const li = document.createElement("li");
  li.textContent = text;
  const label = document.createElement("label");
  label.textContent = "Confirmed";
  const checkbox = document.createElement("checkbox");
  checkbox.type = "checkbox";
  label.appendChild(checkbox);
  li.appendChild(label);
  ul.appendChild(li);
});

your problem is simple ELEMENT "checkbox" doesnt exist in our world :) try create "input" and try look for ".type="chechbox"

hope i helps :), and PS try use JQuery its more simle :)

example :

const checkbox = document.createElement("input");
checkbox.type = "checkbox";
label.appendChild(checkbox);
