Clicking category links don't display select posts

I got up to the end of this video series

I am positive a copied the code perfectly that was presented in the videos. At this point, should I be able to click on a category link and display only posts of that category on my page? When I click on the category on the menu to the right on the page, no posts display. The theme is available below as a zip
