my nav element IS right after the link:

and i keep getting an error message saying its not. Please advise!!!

42,016 Pointsyour nav element IS INSIDE of the link, not after it. You also forgot to add the unordered list inside the nav. you need to move your nav and unordered list after the closing </a>
tag
