.mainlist li { display: inline-block; } .mainlist { display: inline-block; }
Which I’m pretty sure is exactly what you did technically- I could’ve simplified with the comma- but the directions were still so confusing.

4,498 PointsI'm having the same problem. I structured my CSS the same as you, although I think there is supposed to be a comma separating ".main-list" and "li". The preview seems to only take on our changes if that comma is there. I also tried a half dozen different combinations and can't get it to accept any of them. The "hints" are even giving conflicting info to the directions.
here is what I wrote: .main-list, li { display: inline-block; }
Here's to hoping we get an answer!
