does the amount of equal signs used in print("======>", suggested_gift, "<=======") matter?

I would not think so since because they are wrapped in quotation marks, this makes them strings. It looks like they are just there for decoration around you're variable there.

Is this in a code challenge that you're having trouble with? Or just from a course's material? If you're trying to get passed a code challenge please drop a link to it so I can see what it is you're working with.

But in general, if you're just providing some visual decoration like this, it wouldn't matter. It would be all your preference.
