I am having the same problem, I just started in the php track and when I am working in "workspaces" and try to run my php code in the console area nothing shows up it just moves to the next line as if I had never written any code...?

Workspaces

One thing I encountered is that I hadn't saved my code before trying to run in the console. A handy indicator to check to see if you are hitting the same is the little dot that appears towards the top of your workspace (screenshot). If that appears, save your code and then try the console again. :)
