Python Regular Expressions in Python Introduction to Regular Expressions Phone Numbers

create a function named phone number. What is the string called(where do I look for the phone numbers)?

    print(re.findall(r'/d{3}-/d{3}-/d{4}', ))

can someone just give me the answer so I can reverse engineer it and so I can learn instead of being stuck.

Hi Evan. You are close but have a few issues:

  1. Instead of printing the numbers you want to return them so replace print with return
  2. You have wrong slashes instead of d/{3}, you want d\{3}
  3. And lastly you need to pass the number variable to the findall method. so at the end where you have a comma add ,number)
......findall(.........,number )
