Custom Home Button Link

Hi guys,

I'm using the Underscores starter theme, and I am trying to add a simple link to the navigation That simply says "home" that will take the user to the home page of my blog. I uploaded 5 placeholder blog posts just to hold space while styling using some css, but when I check the added pages in the dashboard, the original home page (where the sample starter post was created) does not show up.

My questions are: How do I add a simple link to the navigation bar? Can I do it using custom post types/fields without adding the fields part, or will I have to get into the navigation content (PHP) or CSS in order to do this?

I also want to be able to click on the logo and take me back to the home page as well.

Thanks!

Hi, have you created a home page yet for it to link to? Or did you just want it to link to your recent blogs? I don't know what is the situation with your theme but with the themes that I've worked with you can add it to the navigation by going to

Appearance > Menus

Then on the left side under pages select the home page and click 'add to menu'

Hope that helps
