Custom Post Type / Blog problem

Hey guys,

I've added custom post types to my wordpress system and it's all working as it should. I've made a blank page called "Blog" and in the "Reading" settings I've set my normal WP posts to show up on that page.. however they don't, I get the front page of my site which shows my featured projects.. for the life of me I cannot get my blog posts to show up.

Do the standard WP blog posts get messed up when you add custom post types?

Many thanks,

Ben

Ben,

I haven't encountered that problem. Do you have a "Home" page ?

I think you might be missing the "Home" page. Create a "Home" page, set the website's "Front page displays" under the "Reading" settings to "A static page (select below)" and add the "Home" page as the front page, and the "Blog" page as the Posts page.

I think that might be your problem.

What is the slug for the custom post type?

Hi Ben, Can I take a look at your site or are you running locally?

Hey Dirk,

I managed to fix it. I had files called home.php and content-home.php which for some reason messed it up.
