Custom Post Type Widget?

Hello all,

On the 'Learn WordPress' adventure it is explained how to create widgets & put on plugins on it.

Is there anywhere explained on how to put on created the custom fields on the widgets? Or even about how to make shortcodes to put the fields on widgets?

I know there is codex etc to look at but treehouse way is the most understandable to me (finally i get it). So I'm just wondering if anyone from treehouse ever post anything about it.

Thanks

Hi!

Sorry for the late response! I usually only see posts with the tag 'WordPress'

We do have an upcoming plugin project that will cover some of this :)

Hi Zac Thanks for the reply. Yes please, look forward to it.

I feel there are just not enough resources (on the www, not saying this to treehouse) to learn wp in-depth, but still for practical use such as adding metabox, using ajax etc.

Most resources out there are either too little or sort of 'too comprehensive' for something like metabox or shortcode so as the result we, i mean i, didnt get what those tutors are talking about lol. Seriously watching their videos even the premium ones is like watching & listening to some type a genius rambling about something he created.

Thanks again Zac! I guess mike the frog helps to make all of these more human :)
