I'm trying to target the paragraph nested in the main-content. I get this error. Bummer! Make sure you're targeting the paragraph nested inside '.main-content'.

This first one you did great, you needed to target the span inside the header, so the syntax was -
header span {
font-size: 26px;
}
That's 100% correct. You'll need to carry that thought process over to the next problem, which is targeting the paragraph element inside the .main-content div.
Remember that paragraph elements are represented as p tags, so you'll need to take advantage of this. Since they're asking you to target p as a decendent of the main-content class, main-content will have to be the first target, followed with p because you want to target the paragraph element specifically.
