The challenge is coming back with "the portfolio item should link to "index.html" I believe that my code is correct, I'm having difficulty locating the issue.
```<a href="index.html"> <nav> <ul> <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li> <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li> <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li> </ul> </nav>
42,016 Pointsthe problem is task 1 states: Create a navigation element with an unordered list element after the link inside the header.
task 1 asked you to place your code AFTER the link inside the header (so after the closing </a>
tag. You placed your code inside the link inside the header (between the <a></a>
tags). move your code down below the link and it should work:
<header>
<a href="index.html">
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
<h2>Designer</h2>
</a>
<nav>
<ul>
<li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
</ul>
</nav>
</header>
