Hi Thomas,

I manage to complete the challenge with the below code.

.wildlife {
  background: url("img/bear.jpg") no-repeat center;
  background-size: cover;
  box-sizing: border-box;
}

I hope this helps.

Samuel you are THE man! The funny thing is the teacher mentioned nothing regarding "boxes", thanks so much that is the correct answer!!!

Heya brother,

The problem is that you're trying to tackle question 5 directly with padding and not in the way that they want you to.

"Challenge Task 5 of 5

Finally, give .wildlife the property and value that forces any padding and border widths into its total width and height."

"The" property. That tells you that they're looking for a single property.

Typically, with the box model that's in use across browsers, element dimensions -- the size ... wink wink -- are measured in a rather curious way where your width and height declarations set the dimensions or size of the CONTENT portion of the box... anything you do to manipulate the padding and borders, well, that just adds to the size of the box. Which is rather un-intuitive.

However, there IS a property that will allow you to set it the box sizing to a more... let's say 'rational' method.

THAT'S the property they're looking for.

Go ahead and take a look at the videos in this stage and see if anything jumps out at you ;)

Cheers,

Huck - :sunglasses:

edit: once again, beaten by an answer give away... tsk tsk people. I suggest we all try a little more 'guidance' and a little less spoon-feeding. Just saying :)
