Will the web design track really prepare me for entry level work or will i need to go through the front end track as well?

Some companies want pure designer, other want the designer to have front-end skill.
And nothing will prepare you. it will help you to prepare, but you need to do lots of work on yoru own. I want to be a developer so im leanring here and then making websites on my own and gaining experience.

1,066 PointsSo going through both tracks will be my best bet even though I'm more interested in design. My end goal is becoming a UI/UX designer but I want to be able to code as well but not to much.

2,435 PointsWell, i can't really talk about it since i never had experience in a real life job, but I guess that well... first of all.. UI is the layout, and UX is the user feel, use experience of the site. These are two different things. People usually specialise in one. COmpanies usually hav e aperson doing UI or either UX, from what iv read. I guess u could do two as well.. I don't know, but if the company is looking for a specialised person and ur really good, then they might just get you as UI/UX or UI or UX. In the smaller agencies, companies, id guess, they might need you to write enough code for front-end.
Well, don't go throw tracks.. do 1/10th of it for few weeks, and improve on it, then move to the other section and so on.. just stay focused and get these naurons remember what u did before. If you do 100kick one after another, they will be rubish, if you do one kick 100 kick, it will be good. if you know what i mean. Plus you wont be remember 100kicks at once anyways, and if, theyd be bad quality.
