HTML HTML Forms Choosing Options Create a Select Menu

Everything works fine UNTIL I add this for the label: <label for=color> Shirt Color </label> ????????

I have rewatched the video for labels and it is not obvious to me what I am doing wrong.

The issue preventing passing task 2 is that the start tag for the select has no ">" at the end. The extra closing option tag that David mentioned is not correct syntax and should not be there although the challenge doesn't seem concerned about it.

Quote marks around the "for" value in the label are optional.

Thank you!

At a quick glance it seems you are missing the quotation marks. <label for="color"></label>. Also close the select starting tag <select> and you have 1 too many closing </option> tag

Thank you!

Thank you! I need t get use to the detail of every little character.
