Featured image in Wordpress

I cant get my featured image to show in a post,while i am following the tutorial

I also have trouble with this in my website too, outsidide the tutorial.

I just cannot get it to show in pages or posts

I'll take a guess and say It's probably is from the code on for theme's specific page template.
