I changed everything but i still have the wrong answer. Any suggestions ?
var money = 9;
var today = 'Friday'
if ( money = 9 && today === 'Friday' ) {
alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money <= 8 && today !== 'Friday' ) {
alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money < 9 && today !== 'Friday' ) {
alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today === 'Friday' ) {
alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else {
alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

5,179 PointsThe original script starts with if ( money >= 100 || today === 'Friday' )
you changed the line to if ( money = 9 && today === 'Friday' ) . by changing money = 9, which is an assignment, it is returning true, so it is returning (true && true) which is why alert("Time to go to the theater"); is running.
Is that a good hint? You can ask me if you need more clarification. Good luck.

231,271 PointsYou did a good job with the logic tests, but the money amount tests should be left as they were. Nothing in the messages or instructions would indicate that the amounts being tested are not accurate indications of the prices of the items the money would be spent on.
Also, a single "=" is an assignment, not a comparison.
