Flask Help

Question: Import request from Flask. Then update the index view to return "Hello {name}", replacing {name} with a name argument in the query string.

No clue how i have this wrong seems pretty simple.

Code:

flask_app.py
from flask import Flask
from flask import request

app = Flask(__name__)

@app.route('/')
def index(name="Treehouse"):
    name.request.args.get('name', name)
    return 'Hello {}'.format(name)

Hey there. You're very close: what is causing the error is that you want to initialize a value to name (rather than treating request as if it is a method belonging to name):

name = request.args.get('name', name)
