So I will say the questions were a little confusing but I got there in the end :)
.row {
display: flex;
flex-wrap: wrap;
}
.column {
flex-basis: 300px;
flex-grow: 1;
}
So the .column role answers the first question, flex-basis setting the initial width to 300px and the flex-grow making them equal.
Question 2 is answered with the flex-wrap: wrap; being added to the .row rule which basically says if the column width would be less than 300px wrap to another line.
