Fly-Out Menus

Hello,

I am new to Treehouse. I currently manage a website called lavca.org. I would am having trouble creating fly-out menus using plugins. I believe this might be because the design of our site was hardcoded by a previous developer. Can someone point me to a deep-dive lesson or resource that might help?

Thanks.

Elisabeth

Hi Elisabeth!

You've come to the right place; creating your own menus without plugins is way cooler ;-) Nice site, by the way!

I'd recommend embarking on two learning tracks: the first one being Become a Web Developer, specifically the HTML deep dive and CSS Foundations deep dive. Once your fingers are all warmed up and you're ready to apply the front-end knowledge to building things in WordPress, check out the excellent Learn WordPress track. You'll be a master by the time you're done!

Best of luck.

Matthew,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I will definitely follow the advice you gave me and let you know how it goes. As of right now I'm working on the HTML deep dive. It's very exciting and I can't wait to move onto to the other levels of web development.

Happy Thanksgiving!
