FTP my account?

I tried looking up my site and it says "Please FTP into your account to upload your own files." I'm not really sure the question that I'm asking with this but I think I want to know what an FTP is and how to do it to my account? Thanks

you would have to talk to your webhost about your login information.

I would recommend using winscp or whatever ftp client your comfortable with.

Login format as follows:

ftp address

admin

password

then you'll blip up with drag and drop files interface. Your entire webscript should be dropped into public_html In addition, make sure all the permissions are set correct. Becareful with .htaccess file. If your wordpress website breaks. Delete that file.

That's what I can tell you from my personal experience. Goodluck.

Or another way to install your wordpress is go into cpanel then install it with softaculous [this route is easier] you still have access to your web files on ftp. So I wouldn't worry about it. You can talk to your webhost admins about it. I would recommend you join a webhost with cpanel. It will make your life a lot easier.
