It is asking for CSS code to target the p tag inside the footer and change the color to slategrey.
I have added the code: .footer p { color: slategrey; }
It says it is wrong. Can you please advise?

It appears your stylesheet is referencing the classes header
and footer
, and not the header
and footer
elements themselves. You may have more success if you drop the leading periods (.) in your selectors.
/* instead of .header span */
header span {
font-size: 26px;
}
/* Instead of .footer p */
footer p {
color: slategrey;
}

12,873 PointsHi Rand,
Thank you. So when we are referencing classes I thought the correct syntex was .classes
So are the classes (.footer) and regular (footer) css different?

13,975 PointsYou've got it. To select a class, you must use .class-name, but to select an actual element (body, header, div, p), you simply use the name of the element.
/* This selects any "header" elements. Ex, <header></header> */
header {
font-size: 26px;
}
/* This selects anything with the class "header". Ex, <div class="header"></div> */
.header {
font-size: 26px;
}
