4,034 PointsHello, I'm just trying to change my white text to purple.
I'm just starting out and I am trying to get the color from white to purple and I must have missed what I need to put around it to get HTMl to understand it.
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
</head>
<body>
<h1>Welcome to My Web Page!</h1>
</body>
</html>
h1 {
color: blue;
}
h2 {
color: purple;
}

You've got the correct CSS, but also some CSS that shouldn't be there.
If you look at the HTML, there is no <h2> tag, and the instructions for the challenge say nothing about altering an <h2> element, so that needs to be deleted.
Next, the challenge specifically states:
Change the color of the h1 tag to purple
But you have changed the color of the <h1> to blue. Just fix that rule up and you're good to go.
:)
