Help in first_class.py challenge with settattr and __init__

Tried everything possible in the challenge, including dropping the student argument but i do not seem to get it right? Any advice?

    def __init__(self,,**kwargs):
        self.name=name
        self.student=kwargs.get("student")

        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)

    def praise(self):

        return "Chin up, {}. You'll get it next time!".format(self.name)

    def feedback(self, grade):
        if grade > 50:

You're really close! I see you reserved a spot in the argument list for the "name", but you just forgot to add it there:

    def __init__(self,name,**kwargs):

Hello, what does kwargs.get do? I passed with just putting self.student = kwargs. What is the difference with adding the .get part?

The "get" returns the specific value associated with the key you provide (in this case, "student"). By doing that direct assignment, you were assigning the entire kwargs array to the student variable instead of just that one value.

That's not correct, but apparently the validation mechanism isn't checking for that. You might want to submit a bug report to the Support staff.
