How can I concatenate the two names

Ive used the + sign but it only joins the two names without a space

index.php
<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";

$fullName = $firstName . $lastName .;
?>

Hi Mohamed,

That's almost true. Delete the dot at the end before the semicolon. Otherwise your code is correct. But you have to add space between the two names, otherwise they would just stand next to each other. Add space like this

 . " " .

I hope I could help you out.

<?php

$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullName = $firstName . " " . $lastName;
?>

Thanks Philipp it worked perfectly
