14,167 PointsHow do I assign a variable to an instance of a struct and us the initializer?
I dont't know where to put the variable item
struct Expense {
var description: String
var amount: Double = 0.0
var item: String
init (description: String, item: String) {
self.description = description
self.item = "blabla"
self.amount = 100
}
func calculateTaxes(percentage: Double) -> Double {
return (self.amount * (percentage/100))
}
// add the calculateTaxes method here
// it should accept only one parameter named 'percentage' of type Double
}

and do this at the end of your code. (outside of Struct definition)
var item = Expense(description: "whatever description")
item.amount = 100
