How do I fix this? By selecting the span element, it then says select the intro class but I am? and it's an em font size

Make sure you're selecting the intro class and setting the font-size to an em size equal to 20px, while also selecting the span element?

Hi Austin,

You almost have it. The challenge asks you to create a new rule, so you were right to select the span inside of the intro class, but it just needed to be in a separate block:

}

  font-weight: bold;
  font-style: italic;
}
