How do I make a child theme if my wordpress installation did not require FTP software?

I downloaded wordpress through a one-click installation. Is there any way to make child themes and do simple customization without FTP software?

Hi Chloe,

If you're hosting it you may have the option in your control panel to use a file browser which would allow you to create folders and edit, etc. from your admin/dashboard/cPanel.
