How do I reference particular cells while using filters?

When I click and drag, it selects all the cells that are hidden and unhidden, when I just want to calculate the visible cells based on my filtering. How can I do this?

Instead of filtering first, you can use a calculation function that has it's own filtering criteria.

For example, if the calculation is just adding things, you could use "sumif".
